June 5, 2024 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2023 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #12 University of Oklahoma and #14 University of Arizona brought 43,333 out-of-town visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $55.9 million.
June 4, 2024 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had a total attendance of over 2.5 million visitors during the 23-day event. The attendees included over 1 million unique visitors of which 28% were from outside Greater Houston. These visitors generated $326 million of economic impact and $18 million of fiscal impact.
March 2023 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2022 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #12 University of Washington and #20 University of Texas brought 35,240 out-of-town visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $50.3 million.
March 2022 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2021 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #14 University of Oregon and #16 University of Oklahoma brought 33,067 out-of-town visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $45.4 million.
The Valero Alamo Bowl has now surpassed $1 Billion in economic impact over the past 29 seasons.
March 2020 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2019 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring the University of Texas and #11 University of Utah brought 35,110 out-of-town visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $35.7 million.
January 2020 | Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC finished 2019 with on-site intercept surveys at three huge college football events held in Texas' three largest cities. We attended the Big 12 Championship Game, the Valero Alamo Bowl and the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl to conduct intercept surveys of ticketed attendees. These surveys were designed to identify the origin of attendees and analyze the economic impact generated by visitors. Results from these surveys will be released by the respective organizations at a later date.
June 25, 2019 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo had a total attendance of over 2.5 million visitors during the 24-day event. The attendees included over 1 million unique visitors of which 27% were from outside Greater Houston. These visitors generated $227 million of economic impact and $13 million of fiscal impact.
February 2019 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2018 Valero Alamo Bowl featuring #13 Washington State and $24 Iowa State brought a record 41,578 ticketed out-of-state visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $52.9 million.
April 2018 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that KAABOO Del Mar 2017 had a three-day attendance of 114,000. Those event attendees and event organizers generated $44.5 million in economic activity and $2.8 million in fiscal effects. A total of 55% of attendees visited from outside San Diego County, where KAABOO was hosted, and those visitors and event organizers generated $37.6 million of economic impact and $2.3 million in fiscal effects. April 2018 | A study prepared by Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC shows that the 2017 Valero Alamo Bowl brought 37,616 out-of-town visitors to San Antonio and generated an economic impact of $38.3 million. The game featured #13 Stanford and #15 TCU with a thrilling come from behind victory for TCU.
March 15, 2017 | Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC was invited to

was well attended and well received, with attendees including members of
the engineering and legal departments.
February 7, 2017 | Economic Analytics Consulting, LLC was on-site at Super Bowl LI in Houston. Economic Analytics teamed with Rockport Analytics, Inc. and Creative Consumer Research to conduct intercept surveys of ticketed attendees to understand and quantify the economic impact created by visitors to Houston attending Super Bowl LI. Early attendance estimates indicate over 70,000 ticketed attendees passed through the gates at NRG Stadium. Results from the survey will be incorporated into economic impact studies and disseminated by the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee at a later date.
